COALESCING AND CARTRIDGE FILTERS

Coalescing and cartridge filters are designed to treat air contaminated with oil mist and submicron particles in industrial processes. Through a combination of filtration stages, they effectively separate fine liquid particles and ensure clean, safe air, even in confined spaces or on individual machine tools.

TECHNOLOGY

The typical multistage system includes a metallic prefilter for coarse separation, followed by an oleophobic fiberglass coalescing filter and a final absolute HEPA or cartridge filter to capture submicron particles.
The modular design allows the filtration surface to be adapted to the required flow rates, while the air velocity (0.8–1.0 m/s) is optimized to ensure high efficiency and low pressure drop. Oil mist condensate is automatically collected in a dedicated tank.

Contaminated air passes through multiple filtration stages: a metallic prefilter traps coarse particles, an oleophobic fiberglass coalescing filter aggregates oil droplets, and the final absolute or cartridge filter captures the finest particles.
The purified air can then be released into the environment or reused in the production cycle, while the separated fluids collect in the condensate tank.

The system is engineered for continuous operation thanks to optimized air velocity and modular filter design.
