BAG FILTERS

Bag filters are filtration systems designed for the removal of dry dust generated during industrial processes. They use fabric filter elements that capture solid particulate matter with high efficiency, even in environments with high concentrations of contaminants. TECHNOLOGY

The technology behind bag filters is based on the mechanical filtration of contaminated air through technical fabrics such as needle-felt or PTFE membranes, selected according to operating temperature and the type of dust to be treated.
The air flow is directed inside the bags, where solid particles deposit on the surface of the filter material, while clean air is released back into the environment.
An automatic cleaning system, based on reverse-air pulses or vibration,keeps the filter efficient at all times, preventing clogging and allowing continuous plant operation.
All this is supported by precise fluid dynamic design, ensuring uniform airflow and minimal pressure loss.

EFFICIENCY

Bag filters achieve extremely high efficiency levels, with average dust removal rates exceeding 99.9% for PM10 particles.
Each plant is designed and tested in accordance with international standards ISO 16890 and EN 1822, ensuring the highest air quality at the outlet.
Pressure losses are maintained within an optimal range, between 800 and 1800 Pa, thanks to proper system sizing and high-quality materials.
The result is a stable filtration process, with final emissions below 0.025 mg/Nm³ and a significant reduction in long-term energy consumption.

HOW BAG FILTERS WORK

Dust-contaminated air is drawn into the filter and directed through the technical fabric bags. Solid particles are trapped on the filter material, while purified air is released back into the environment or directed to the outlet.
During operation, the filter surfaces gradually accumulate dust; to prevent excessive airflow resistance, the system is equipped with an automatic cleaning mechanism.

This cleaning occurs through short bursts of compressed air that pass through the bags in reverse, dislodging the accumulated material. The detached dust then falls into the lower collection chamber, allowing the filter to maintain consistent performance without interrupting the operating cycle.
This ensures continuous operation, controlled pressure loss, and high filtration efficiency over time.
