At a liquid waste treatment plant, the scrubbing tower collapsed, causing a total shutdown of operations due to regulatory constraints regarding air extraction from the silos. BMB Purification intervened on a system built by another company, designing and installing a new custom two-stage scrubbing tower, fitted exactly within the existing footprint without modifying the surrounding structures.
CLIENT NEED
Urgently replace a scrubbing tower on a system not built by BMB. The client needed to resume operations in the shortest possible time, as environmental permits mandated a plant shutdown in the absence of air extraction from the silos. The new solution had to strictly respect the original footprint to integrate between the existing silos and industrial buildings.
TECHNOLOGY USED
New custom two-stage scrubbing tower, industrial fan reconstructed reusing the existing motor and impeller, and a new custom-built casing to comply with height and space limitations.

Following the collapse of the old structure, BMB Purification designed a new two-stage scrubbing tower specifically engineered to fit within the exact footprint of the previous component. To avoid moving silos or modifying adjacent buildings, the fan assembly was also redesigned: the original motor and impeller were recovered, while the casing was built from scratch to custom dimensions to respect height and spatial constraints.
THE RESULTS
The plant was able to resume operation in full compliance with environmental permits regarding silo air extraction. The custom engineering intervention prevented significant extraordinary costs and delays associated with modifying existing civil and system infrastructure.
